Machinist Supervisor

3 years or more of supervisory experience in a steel processing, Steel fabrication, or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Steel Slitting Line Operations
  • Steel Blanking Line Operations
  • Steel Cut-to-Length Line Operations
  • Steel Plate Shearing Operations
  • Steel Bending and Press Brake Operations
  • Roll Forming Operation (Light gauge and Heavy gauge Machinery)
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of machinists, machine operators, and production personnel.
  • Plan, organize, and schedule daily production activities to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Monitor and oversee the operation of slitting lines, metal blanking lines, cut-to-length lines, shearing machines, and bending press equipment.
  • Ensure production processes comply with company quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Review production orders, and work instructions to ensure accurate processing of steel products.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate machine operators, production staff and Packaging staff
  • Assign work duties and monitor employees performance to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished products to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality.
  • Troubleshoot machine operational issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure proper machine setup, tool changes, and production adjustments are completed efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate production records, machine logs, quality reports, and employees attendance records.
  • Implement and enforce workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Investigate production delays, quality concerns, and equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate workflow between production, shipping, receiving, and quality control departments.
  • Assist management in developing production schedules and improving operational efficiency.
  • Recommend process improvements to reduce waste, improve quality, and increase productivity.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and organization of production areas.
